RNA researchers meet on Campus Riedberg

June 2017. Kathi Zarnack, Junior Group Leader at BMLS, participates in the organization of the RMU RNA Salon “Genomics approaches in RNA research”. The aim of this series of mini-symposia is to bring together RNA researchers from the different universities in the Rhein-Main area to exchange experiences and discuss the latest RNA-related technologies. For the organization, Kathi joined forces with JProf. Michaela Müller-McNicoll and Dr. Tobias Schmid from GU Frankfurt as well as Dr. Julian König (IMB, Mainz) and Dr. Oliver Rossbach (JLU Giessen).

Following on a very successful opening event at IMB Mainz in April, registration is now open for the 2nd RMU RNA Salon taking place on Campus Riedberg (Biozentrum N260 - Room 3.13) on Wednesday June 28th 2017 (12.30 – 6.30 pm). Under the title “RNomics for every taste”, the focus of the event will be on transcriptome-wide, high-throughput methods to analyze RNA, including RNA-seq, small RNA sequencing, RNA modifications and ribosome profiling, as well as bioinformatics and mathematical modelling.

The keynote lecture will be given by Prof. Erin Schuman from the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research, Frankfurt. In addition, there will be method-oriented presentations from the following research groups:

When: Wed 28th June 2017, 12.30-6.30 pm
Where: Biozentrum N260, Room 3.13, Campus Riedberg, Goethe University Frankfurt

Attendance is free. Please register at: http://bit.do/RMU-RNA-Salon2

The event is supported by the RNA Society, Lexogen and the SFB902 “Mechanisms of RNA-based regulation” and BMLS.
